Kaleidoscopes?  Love Them!

I ues my travel photography, computers, kaleidescopes, mirrors, reflection, refraction and light to inspire and create.

Larger than Life Kaleidoscope
Burning Man 1999

My first kaleidoscope I built as an interactive art installation for Burning Man 1999. Constructed from ABS sewer pipe, plastic Christmas tree stand, hallway mirrors, lazy suzanne, mirror and picket fence. I now have more managable hand held models.

Stainless steel

Rather than frame a scene, this scope fragments it,
engaging the viewer in metaphors for a changing world.

Commissioned by the Parks Department through The City of Calgary Public Art Program, 2010.

Kaleidescope Images
